Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to join a team delivering high‑voltage testing, commissioning and maintenance services. You will work on electrical power systems up to 500 kV, perform protective relay tests, system studies and fault analysis as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with testing equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to read one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and breakers.
• Interpret test results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
