Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to join our ERS/HVM teams. You will perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV, and mentor junior technicians in field settings.

The role requires NETA III/IV certification, 7+ years of HV testing experience, and strong relay/coordination knowledge. Expect regional travel up to 75% with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification (current and in good standing).

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
