Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. Travel up to 75% regionally, with strong emphasis on safety and standards compliance.

You will mentor technicians and lead projects within Vertiv's ERS/HVM divisions, supporting critical infrastructure for data centers, utilities, and industry. The role requires NETA III/IV certification, 7+ years HV testing experience, and deep knowledge of

Formación

• NETA Level III or Level IV Certification (current and in good standing).
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment listed above.
• Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&IDs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and willingness to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical to microprocessor).
• Test insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance on transformers and switchgear.
• Interpret results and write comprehensive reports with recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical failures under time pressure.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline teams.
• Ensure compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA.
