Job summary

Netsmart Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to TheraOffice, a leading rehab software platform with EHR, scheduling, and billing capabilities.

You’ll work on scalable applications using C#, .NET, and SQL, while collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality healthcare software. You will gain exposure to cloud technologies, healthcare workflows, and modern development practices, contributing to products used by clinics nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/SE/MIS or related field.
• Experience with C# and the .NET platform in professional or academic settings.
• Strong OOP and database/SQL fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions primarily using C#, .NET, and SQL technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code that follows engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot application, database, and integration issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, technical design discussions, and peer code reviews.
• Build knowledge of clinical and financial healthcare workflows and apply that expertise to product development.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Research and adopt new technologies, tools, and engineering practices that improve team effectiveness and product quality.
• Gradually take ownership of features, enhancements, and components as technical expertise grows.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule after onboarding and training.
