Job summary

TransCore in Ashburn, Virginia, is seeking a .NET Application Support Engineer to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our enterprise applications built on the Microsoft stack. You will bridge development and operations, diving into C#/.NET code, tuning IIS, and writing automation scripts to reduce manual tasks.

The role emphasizes incident management, code-level debugging, environment setup, SQL Server troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting or developing .NET applications.
Experience with IIS and Windows Server environments.
Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
Experience with logging/diagnostics and APM tools.
Familiarity with Azure and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 support for high-availability .NET applications, APIs, and Windows Services.
Analyze and debug C# code and deliver root-cause analysis to dev teams.
Configure, maintain, and optimize IIS and environment variables across servers.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operations and deployments.
Troubleshoot data issues in SQL Server and optimize queries and indexes.
Monitor application health and document recovery procedures.
