Job summary

Aebi Schmidt USA is seeking a Nesting Programmer for our fabrication department in Wisconsin. You will nest parts on sheet and plate materials for laser and plasma cutting, using files from Scheduling and Engineering to optimize material usage and minimize waste.

You will develop daily nests, manage material orders, release work orders, and coordinate with Scheduling, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure availability and timely production.

Qualifications

• Proficient in nesting software (Optimation, Sigma Nest or comparable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate in work.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Inventor or AutoCAD experience is a plus.

• Process, prioritize, and release work orders to Manufacturing according to production schedules.

• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess material.
• Make adjustments to nests based on production priorities, material availability, and engineering changes.
• Maintain accurate nesting files, work orders, and production documentation.

A Nesting Programmer is responsible for nesting parts on sheet and plate material on the laser and plasma machinery in the fabrication department. They will be using files provided by the scheduling and engineering departments. This will include optimizing the material usage and minimizing wasted material by nesting like material components together.

• Manage vendor material order and transfers
• Process and release work orders to Manufacturing
• Manage material requirements, including vendor material orders and internal material transfers.
