Job summary

Aebi Schmidt in Monroe, WI is seeking a Nesting Programmer to optimize nesting of sheet and plate materials for laser and plasma machinery in the fabrication department. You will use files from scheduling and engineering to maximize material usage and minimize waste by grouping like material components together.

Responsibilities include developing daily nests, managing material orders and transfers, and releasing work orders to Manufacturing while coordinating with Scheduling, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Proficient in nesting software (Optimation, Sigma Nest or comparable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented; able to focus on accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Inventor or AutoCAD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily nests.
• Manage vendor material orders and transfers.
• Process and release work orders to Manufacturing.
• Manage material requirements, including vendor orders and internal transfers.
• Process, prioritize, and release work orders to Manufacturing per production schedules.
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure nests and materials are available.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or excess material.
• Make adjustments to nests based on priorities, material availability, and engineering changes.
• Maintain accurate nesting files, work orders, and production documentation.
