Job summary

Mindlance is seeking an experienced NERC Compliance Analyst to support Operations & Planning (O&P) compliance within the energy sector. Hybrid role with at least two days onsite weekly.

The ideal candidate will have experience with NERC Reliability Standards, compliance monitoring, internal controls, RSAWs, and regulatory evidence development. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years (Senior 5+ years) of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Accounting, Auditing, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience for Level 2 / 5+ years for Senior level.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• NERC Operations & Planning Reliability Standards exposure.
• Bulk Electric System (BES) operations and/or planning experience.
• RSAW and audit evidence development experience.
• NERC / Regional Reliability Entity audits experience.
• Internal controls, risk assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance.
• SQL, Cognos, Python or other data analysis platforms.
• CCEP – Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with NERC Operations & Planning Reliability Standards and regional reliability requirements.
• Identify and assess compliance risks and internal controls.
• Prepare RSAWs, compliance narratives, audit evidence, and supporting documentation.
• Support NERC and Regional Reliability Entity audits.
• Assist with remediation of audit findings and compliance issues.
• Analyze regulatory requirements and map them to internal processes and controls.
• Develop and maintain compliance reports and documentation.
• Work with business and technical teams to improve compliance processes.
• Support regulatory RFIs, investigations, and self-reporting activities.
• Use GRC and data analysis tools to monitor compliance and control effectiveness.
