Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, business administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Six years of related progressive work experience if no degree; eight years for senior level.
  • Experience with hardware/software technology from IT or business operations roles; ability to interpret, implement, audit and follow regulations.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Advanced software skills to direct development and use of spreadsheets, documents, databases, and ad hoc reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to NERC compliance department personnel and subject matter experts across the organization on standards and problem resolution.
  • Lead development and review of processes, procedures, and evidence to demonstrate NERC compliance; translate standards into evidence requirements.
  • Develop and support training for personnel on NERC standards; participate in NERC task forces and teams.
  • Conduct assessments for NERC compliance; gather, verify, and prepare information for reports, audits, and self-certifications.
  • Respond to internal requests for interpretation of NERC standards; promote correct application across the company.
  • Support technology solutions for managing NERC accesses and asset data (e.g., access control matrices, SharePoint, CIPCON).
  • Review postings of NERC standards and participate in workshops and working groups; propose company responses to changes.
  • Lead cross-functional analyses to resolve compliance questions and develop corrective action plans.
