Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Research Assistant to support clinical research activities in the Waikar Research Group within the Nephrology Section. The role involves participant recruitment, scheduling, administering questionnaires, reviewing records, and data management in both clinical and research settings.

You will collaborate with the Research Program Manager and staff to ensure study operations run smoothly, handle regulatory tasks, and assist with manuscript

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required.
• Prior experience in clinical research and/or public health preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with participants and staff.

Responsibilities

• Recruits and screens clinical research candidates.
• Interacts with participants by phone, email, and in person to support recruitment activities, study coordination, and visit scheduling.
• Completes informed consent documents and enrolls participants in the research protocol.
• Explain the clinical trial clearly to participants.
• Collects, documents, and submits study data and samples accurately.
• Work with the Research Program Manager and staff to support daily study operations.
• Schedule: 40 hours/week, 100% in person.
• Adapt to varying daily schedules driven by clinic operations and visits.
