Job summary

UNC Health Care invites applications for a Clinical Support Tech II in the Nephrology at ET unit in Chapel Hill, NC. The role blends Nursing Assistant II duties with clerical support, assisting caregivers, transporting patients and maintaining patient rooms on the unit.

Requirements include Nursing Assistant I and II certifications, BLS, and at least one year of clerical or customer service experience plus three months nursing assistant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; higher-level degree may satisfy.
• Nursing Assistant I and II certifications required.
• 1 year clerical or customer service and 3 months nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with routine exams and procure equipment.
• Document significant changes in patient condition and report to nurse/physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: greet visitors, answer calls, transcribe orders, maintain medical records.
• Provide clerical and administrative support including PI audits and data entry.
• Provide direct personal patient care per plan of care activities and assist with transport and equipment.
