Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Clinical Development Associate Medical Director to lead trials as Medical Lead, overseeing safety and scientific integrity across studies. You will coordinate trial strategy, design, execution and reporting with cross-functional teams and external personnel.

You will contribute to regulatory submissions, IND/CTA documentation, and safety reports while guiding study-related analyses and manuscripts.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree and extensive clinical research experience.
• Strong written and oral communication across cross-functional teams.
• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and ethics committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop study protocols, investigator brochures, and development plans with minimal guidance.
• Serve on cross-functional study execution teams to ensure high-quality trial conduct.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and safety reports for assigned trials.
• Provide clinical input to study documents and analysis plans.
• Act as liaison between Clinical Development and other Vertex groups for studies.
• Represent Vertex to external medical personnel in protocols and reporting.
