Job summary

Qualifications

• MSN or Clinical Doctorate required; board certification in NP (ANCC/AANP) preferred.
• PA certification from NCCPA or successor authority; NC license in good standing.
• BCLS and ACLS required; hospital experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to practice autonomously and in collaboration with nephrology physicians.

Responsibilities

• On-site, patient-facing role in inpatient hospital setting.
• Clinical assessment and case management for CKD, AKI and ESRD patients.
• Order, perform, supervise and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans including dialysis, biopsies, CRRT and related therapies.
• Document encounters accurately and coordinate with the nephrology team.
