• Graduate of an accredited medical school with Mississippi medical license or eligibility to be licensed in Mississippi.
• Competence to provide 24-hour health care and coordinate inpatient/outpatient neonatology services.

Responsabilidades

• Provides comprehensive medical care for patients in designated clinics and hospital units.
• Supervises and directs nursing and other medical staff in patient care.
• Requests necessary laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment.
• Requests necessary radiographic studies for diagnosis and treatment.
• Available for rotational call to address after-hours emergencies.
• Adheres to UMMC and department policies and maintains high standards of clinical operation.
• Organizes and conducts general or specialized diagnostic and treatment clinics.
• Provides consultative services to staff, public agencies, and professional groups.
• Plans and conducts various control and treatment programs relevant to neonatal care.
• Organizes, conducts, and supervises chronic care clinics and treatment programs.
• Encourages and emphasizes health education.
• Prepares and maintains necessary records and reports.
