Responsibilities

• Completes health assessments in a newborn area.
• Orders, collects, and interprets relevant labs and tests.
• Formulates and implements comprehensive care plans in a newborn area.
• Ensures complete documentation of assessments and care.
• Coaches and mentors other nurse practitioners.
• Acts as expert/resource to nursing staff in the newborn area.
• Serves on committees or task forces to improve patient care.
