Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes newborn health assessments and histories.
• Orders, collects, and interprets relevant tests.
• Develops and implements comprehensive neonatal care plans.
• Ensures complete documentation of patient assessments and plans.
• Coaches and mentors other nurse practitioners.
• Acts as an expert/resource to nursing staff in the newborn area.
• Serves on nursing councils or committees to improve patient care; upholds exceptional service standards.
