CHARLESTON AREA CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston, WV seeks a BC/BE neonatologist to join a 4-neonatologist, 3-NNP NICU team. This Level-III/IV unit offers 24/7 in-house coverage, teaching opportunities, and the chance to participate in deliveries and subspecialist consults.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a busy NICU; J-1 visa sponsorship is available. The hospital serves ~3,000 births annually and is a teaching site for WVU School of Medicine and others.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible neonatologist (BC/BE).
• Minimum 3+ years in a busy Level-III/IV NICU; new grads considered.
• J-1 visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 in-house coverage with NNP support.
• Attend deliveries.
• Consult with pediatric subspecialists and cover at a nearby Level-II NICU if needed.

We have an exciting opportunity for a neonatologist to join our NICU team of 4 neonatologists and 3 neonatal nurse practitioners at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Women and Children’s Hospital in beautiful Charleston, WV.

• Level-Ill, 30-bed NICU with an ADC of 24
• Neonatologists provide 24/7 in-house coverage with support from NNPs primarily in the newborn nursery (NNPs cover 12-hour shifts)
• Approximately 3,000 annual births, with about 470 NICU and 1,226 newborn nursery admissions
• Attendance at deliveries required
• The unit is a teaching site for medical students and residents from WVU School of Medicine and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV
• Consultative services are provided by pediatric sub-specialists representing more than 30 specialties, including pulmonary medicine, surgery, neurology, nephrology, infectious disease, hematology-oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and cardiology
• Option to cover at nearby Level-II NICU
• Ideal candidates will have 3 or more years of experience in a busy Level-III/IV NICU, and will consider new grads
• J-1 visa sponsorship available
