Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to provide per diem coverage at Summerville Medical Center, located near Charleston, SC. The role includes 24-hour rounding and on-call responsibilities with inpatient pediatrics and ER consults.

Active SC licensure is required, and subspecialty support is available onsite from Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, and more, with telemedicine pediatric cardiology. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care with recent experience required.
• Active South Carolina medical license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem coverage for the PICU and inpatient pediatric services at Summerville Medical Center.
• Manage 6-bed PICU with 2 observation beds and participate in ER consults and rounds.
• Support Level III NICU as needed and provide telephone consults when required.
• Perform procedures such as intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR.
• Work from hospital, on-call from home or hotel as needed.

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to provide per diem coverage at Summerville Medical Center (SMC)—just 30 minutes from Charleston!

Your Clinical Scope

• 6-bed PICUwith 2 observation beds
• Level III NICU support
• Telephone consult available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
• Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
• 24 hour rounding plus call from home/hotel
• Procedures include: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
• 2024 Census: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1

Subspecialty Support

• Onsite: Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology
• Telemedicine: Pediatric Cardiology
