Job summary

Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in the Pediatric Respiratory Care Department seeks an Advanced Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat cardiopulmonary conditions using diverse therapies. You’ll gain exposure to NICU, PICU, pediatric cardiac ICU, transport, and ECMO while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree program in Respiratory Care.
• NBRC registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Maryland State License required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Interest or experience in neonatal/pediatric respiratory care or ECMO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialized respiratory care knowledge to assess and recommend interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
• Administer diverse therapies including medical gas, humidity, aerosol, hyperinflation, and bronchial hygiene therapies.
• Manage both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
• Provide emergency care and collaborate with healthcare teams to implement tailored multidisciplinary care plans.
• Work across NICU, PICU, pediatric cardiac ICU, transport, and ECMO.
