Job summary

Atrium Health's MedCenter Air team in Charlotte, NC seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join the critical care transport unit. You will provide care for ill and injured patients during air and ground transport, including respiratory assessment, stabilization, and intervention under Medical Control Physician guidance.

This role requires RT licensure, BLS, and experience in ED/ICU transport, plus proficiency in advanced procedures, including airway management and ventilator support, to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care with active RT license.
• Minimum three years of clinical respiratory care experience in the ED or ICU.
• Current BLS and advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS are required.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advanced procedures and airway management.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients transported by Med Center Air, including respiration assessment and stabilization.
• Perform advanced airway management and ventilation setup during transport.
• Operate and monitor life-sustaining equipment and medications during transfer.
• Collaborate with Medical Control Physician via radio or direct consultation.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and CAMTS standards during transport.
