Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the NICU teams at West Penn and Jefferson Regional Hospitals. The role involves diagnosing and treating neonates in collaboration with neonatologists and providing coverage during high-risk deliveries.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited NP degree, PA RN licensure in good standing, NRP certification, and prescriptive authority. Experience in Level III NICU is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing approved NP program.
• 1-3 years in Level III NICU as CRNP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and interpret health history; perform neonatal physical assessment per protocol.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and coordinate care with neonatologists.
• Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization.
• Coordinate discharge plans and transfer summaries with the care team.
• Educate patients and families; participate in QA projects and NICU committees.
