Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to function in an expanded role at West Penn and Jefferson Regional Hospitals. The CRNP will diagnose, prescribe, and manage care under physician direction for critically ill neonates.

Responsibilities include history taking, physicals, high-risk delivery coverage, discharge planning, and collaboration with the Neonatology team, family education, and QA participation to support hospital goals.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CRNP license in good standing.
• NRP certification or NRP Instructor certification.
• Preferred 1 year in Level III NICU as CRNP.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record, and interpret complete health history.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessment of neonates and coordinate plan of care with Neonatology.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per established protocols.
• Refer abnormal findings to appropriate healthcare services.
• Attend and provide coverage for high-risk deliveries and stabilization of neonates.
• Coordinate discharge and transfer summaries.
• Educate and communicate with patient, family, team, and community services.
• Participate in QA projects and NICU committees; contribute to department goals.
