Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the NICU teams at West Penn and Jefferson Regional Hospitals. The role involves diagnosing and treating neonates in collaboration with an attending physician, and managing high-risk deliveries and transport when needed.

The position requires an accredited NP degree, current PA licensure (or eNLC), board certification as a neonatal NP, and NRP certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing Approved Master’s or Post-Master’s NP program.
• 1–3 years in Level III NICU as CRNP.
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Practicing state NP licensure and board certification as neonatal NP.
• NRP certification or NRP instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and interpret neonatal health history and perform newborn assessments.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures per protocol and refer abnormal findings.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide stabilisation and transport for neonates.
• Coordinate care plans and discharge/transfer summaries.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with the care team.
• Participate in QA projects and NICU committees; demonstrate leadership.
