Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join RNICU/CCN/NBN teams. You will round, assess patients, perform procedures, attend deliveries, input orders, read xrays, and provide oversight of neonatal care, with weekend and holiday coverage and no on-call time.

This role requires an NNP certification and active APN/CRNP credentials from the Alabama Board of Nursing. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Neonatal NP certification required.
• APN/CRNP certification with Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to neonatal patients per physician directives.
• Round, assess patients, perform procedures, and supervise care in RNICU/CCN/NBN.
• Attend deliveries and input orders.
• Read xrays and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate and participate in discharge planning and care improvement.
