Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the Critical Care Transport Team. You will provide medical care for critically ill neonates transported by ground or air, collaborating with an NNP/RT team and supporting hospitals in Alabama and neighboring states.

PRN/flexi shifts with 12-hour scheduling, AM/PM options, and the opportunity to contribute to innovative patient care and practice improvement within a renowned health system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification is required.
• CRNP credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within the established scope of practice under collaborating physician or supervising physician.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and referrals to meet patient needs.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assist with procedures as needed.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and coordinate education for patients and families.
