Baptist Health in Alabama seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our NICU team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians to provide advanced neonatal care.
The role requires a Master of Nursing, RN and NP licenses, and NICU/NNP certification prerequisites; prior CVICU/ECMO experience is preferred. This is a regular full-time DAY shift at Baptist Medical Center South, central Alabama.

The NP - Nurse Practitioner shall be responsible to perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This individual will perform complete, detailed, and accurate histories, as well as to review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will complete physical examinations, make diagnoses, and institute therapy, including drug therapy. This individual will also institute emergency measures and emergency treatment, arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician, and to perform hospital rounds when needed. The Nurse Practitioner will provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
