Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care in a highly regarded pediatric setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for children and families, ensuring high-quality outcomes and safety across shifts.

The role emphasizes patient education, teamwork with an interprofessional staff, and adherence to standards of nursing care. Experience with family-centered care and pediatric protocols is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
