Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital is part of BJC HealthCare and Springfield, MO hosts a pediatric RN role within the career ladder program.

The RN will provide direct patient care across acute pediatric settings, with emphasis on top-of-license practice and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role includes day/night 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with on-call and weekend/holiday rotations as required by the department.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Pediatric specialty experience preferred (transport/ICU/ER/CICU/NIU).
• BSN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatment options and home care.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Ensures effective communication of the care plan across the continuum of care.

Nursing Diploma/Associate's

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
