Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care in a pediatric setting. The role includes teaching families, coordinating care, and implementing plans within established nursing standards.

Candidates should have an RN license; a BSN is preferred. The position offers full-time hours with three 12hr shifts or four 10hr shifts, starting at 6:45am, and includes on-call and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate's degree required.
• RN licensure required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on illness, home care and medications.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develops and documents care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional needs and communicates plans across the care continuum.
• Performs nursing duties in a safety-sensitive role with alertness requirements.
