Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida seeks an experienced RN to provide specialized neonatal ICU care. The role involves comprehensive assessment, care planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment for neonates.

The RN will document care, manage emergencies, and support families while adhering to policy and regulatory requirements. BSN or current BSN student with NRP/BSL certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in Florida or equivalent compact state.
• CPR/BLS must be active throughout employment.
• NRP certification must be current within 1 year of hire.
• Complete competency assessment within 6 months in a Critical Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care on neonatal unit per policies.
• Communicate patient progress and changes to physicians and care team.
• Document and plan care in collaboration with disciplines to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform nursing assessments and reassess when care plans change.
• Provide basic neonatal care: feeding, bathing, diapering, IV start, suctioning, positioning.
