Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking an experienced staff nurse for the Critical Care NICU. You will provide professional nursing care to neonates and infants, performing assessments, interventions, and reassessments with minimal supervision.

The NICU is a Level IV, 48-bed unit including ECMO capabilities, established to care for complex cases from birth to age 2. Schedule is 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, with a strong multidisciplinary team approach.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Alabama.
• Current BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene, reassess patients and provide nursing care.
• Plan, implement, educate and evaluate care for patients/caregivers.
• Use medical equipment, access patient records and reports, and document care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support ECMO-capable NICU patients.
