Job summary

Join Cincinnati Children's NICU as a Registered Nurse (Night shift). This 0.9 FTE, full-time role operates 36 hours per week with a nights schedule and rotating orientation. You’ll care for critically ill newborns in a level IV NICU, supporting family-centered care and advanced therapies.

Weekend commitments exist, with 48 hours every six weeks Friday to Sunday. Starting pay range is $37.00–$42.60 per hour, based on experience, skills and equity, with additional shift differentials and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution requires 2+ years of experience.
• If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date and complete within 5 years.
• Preferred BSN; active Ohio RN License; may require other state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Sustain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support leadership in safety and policy adherence.
• Monitor and ensure safety and departmental policies; verify certifications and Safety College requirements.
• Apply clinical judgment to data collection, follow protocols, document care plans and outcomes.
• Engage in self-assessment, peer review, and coaching to promote safe, ethical nursing practice.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in shared decision making and care planning.
• Provide age-appropriate, culturally inclusive patient care and family education.
