Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking a RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide individualized nursing care in a designated unit. The role uses the nursing process to augment the medical plan of treatment within a Level IV NICU, which features 106 private rooms and a broad team of NICU specialists.

Shifts run 7p–7a with a 36‑hour work week. Required is 1 year of direct nursing experience, Texas RN license, and BLS; BSN preferred and NICU/CCU experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct nursing experience required.
• Active, unrestricted TX Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• Neonatal/NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent, individualized nursing care to patients and families by utilizing the nursing process within a NICU setting.
• Collaborate with the NICU team to address the acuity needs of the patient population and ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
