Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated clinician to coordinate and implement activities of the High-Risk Perinatal Program, focusing on developmental aspects of infant growth and helping families understand infant development. The role collaborates with the NICU team to plan individualized care strategies and ensure program quality.

The position includes staff development, policy development, and ongoing competency maintenance within a leading pediatric health system in the Southwest.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate developmental care strategies for high-risk infants and collaborate with the care team and families.
  • Implement NIDCAP for infants <29 weeks and conduct developmental observations for other high-risk infants.
  • Collaborate with staff to set care goals aligned with treatment objectives.
  • Represent HRPP developmental care requirements in reports, quarterly meetings, and related duties.
  • Develop and revise NICU developmental care policies, procedures, and guidelines with the healthcare team.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating staff education programs focused on family-centered, developmentally supportive care.
  • Support quality improvement efforts to maintain NICU developmental care program integrity through research and clinical projects.
  • Maintain clinical competency by participating in educational programs and reviewing current literature.
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties as requested.
