Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics seeks a NICU Nurse Supervisor to lead the Level III NICU team in Bellevue, WA. You’ll partner with the NICU Manager and physicians to uphold patient care quality, safety, and regulatory readiness, while guiding operational oversight and staff development.

The role requires a registered nurse with WA licensure, BLS/NRP, and NICU leadership experience; RNC-NIC preferred. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this crucial supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• RNC-NIC certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years NICU experience in Level III+.
• Minimum of two years Charge Nurse or equivalent NICU leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage patient flow.
• Strong communication, leadership, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory and support functions for the NICU under the Manager.
• Supervise direct and charge nurses and clinical staff.
• Monitor patient acuity, staffing effectiveness, and premium hour utilization.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support regulatory readiness and daily unit operations.
