Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health’s Neonatology department is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality care to neonates, infants, and young children in a collaborative multi-disciplinary setting. The APP will focus on family-centered, culturally sensitive care for critically ill and stable infants and work alongside neonatologists.

The role requires APN or PA licensure with NICU/PICU experience, current NRP/BLS, and CDS/DEA credentials.

Qualifications

CDS and DEA licensure required.
Current NRP and BLS certification.
APN License and RN License required; specific NP/PA certifications depend on track (NICU/PICU/ inpatient pediatric).
NCCPA certification required for PA track.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with a physician.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Perform procedures as necessary.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.
Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.
