Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a Neonatal Advanced Practice Nurse to provide care for neonates and infants up to one year old. The APP works with a multidisciplinary team in a NICU/PICU setting, handling assessment, treatment planning and procedures with a focus on family-centered care.

Qualifications

• CDS and DEA licensing requirements.
• Current NRP and BLS certification.
• APN License and RN License required.
• NICU/Pediatrics certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnose and treat conditions in collaboration with a physician.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the healthcare team.
• Perform procedures as necessary.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses and other professionals.
• Communicate treatment plans and health education to families.
• Stay current with medical best practices and regulations.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed.
