Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Newark, NJ, seeks a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider to deliver medical care to neonates in the NICU and Labor & Delivery, under a neonatologist. You will perform exams, develop care plans, order tests, and collaborate with obstetrics and nursing teams to ensure safe, evidence-based newborn care.

Required credentials include APN or PA licensure, NRP and BLS, and NICU/PICU experience with relevant certifications (NNP, Primary Care Pediatric NP, or Acute Care Pediatric

Qualifications

CDS and DEA certifications required.
Current NRP and BLS certifications required.
APN license required or PA license with NCCPA.
NNP Certification with NICU RN experience.
Pediatric NP Certifications with NICU/PICU experience in inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of neonates in the NICU and Labor & Delivery.
Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions under physician supervision.
Develop and implement neonatal care plans with the healthcare team.
Perform procedures as needed.
Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients' families on treatment plans.

APN License

NNP Certification with NICU RN experience

Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP

Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting

PA License

NCCPA
