This role covers local and regional routes across Eastern Iowa; you will log trips, maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre-trip checks, and communicate professionally with dispatch and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience transporting passengers, elderly, or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and secure mobility equipment.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport non-emergency medical passengers to and from appointments, facilities, and care centers
• Assist passengers with boarding, deboarding, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices
• Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and passenger documentation
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Follow scheduled routes while adapting to real-time changes or passenger needs
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare facility staff
• Adhere to all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols
