Job summary

Fast-Trans LLC in Clinton, IA seeks a compassionate NEMT Driver to safely transport non-emergency medical passengers to appointments and facilities across Eastern Iowa. You will embody reliability, professionalism, and patient care while on the road.

Responsibilities include assisting passengers, operating wheelchair lifts, keeping accurate trip logs, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. You will follow routes, adapt to changes, and adhere to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience transporting passengers, elderly, or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and secure mobility equipment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport non-emergency medical passengers to and from appointments.
• Assist passengers with boarding, deboarding, and wheelchair use.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and passenger documentation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and cleanliness.
• Follow routes while adapting to real-time changes or passenger needs.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare facility staff.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols.
