Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Reno, NV seeks a Necropsy Technician I to support Safety Assessment. You will perform basic necropsy procedures, document activities, and handle sample processing and shipment under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with an AA/AS in biology preferred, and 1 year of pathology lab experience. Training follows a 3-month period, with shift options available.

Qualifications

• 1 year pathology laboratory experience required or equivalent substitution.
• High school diploma or GED required; AA/AS preferred in biological sciences.
• Must be able to record data accurately and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic necropsy procedures and related lab tasks as assigned.
• Document activities and receive/ship samples per protocol.
• Assist with basic necropsy dissections and tissue collection/preservation.
• Prepare materials and data for shipment and archival.
• Performs euthanasia and post-mortem exams under veterinary pathologist oversight.
