Job summary

Inotiv seeks a Necropsy Technician I to assist with necropsy functions in accordance with SOPs, GLP, and company regulations. You will support histology processes and ensure high-quality results through accurate data entry and documentation.

The role involves tissue handling, dissection, organ weights, euthanasia, and collaborative cross-department work within a lab setting. The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to safety, and adherence to SOPs to maintain compliant and efficient study

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field preferred.
• GLP laboratory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for upcoming studies or projects.
• Perform necropsy and tissue identification per SOP.
• Conduct organ weights and data entry with gross lesion notes.
• Perform animal euthanasia.
• Assist with trimming and embedding per SOP/NIEHS guidelines.
• Document data and perform QC per GLP.
