Qualifications

• Education: H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a GLP laboratory facility.
• Minimum 1 year in a GLP laboratory facility.
• Experience with animal tissue.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for upcoming studies or projects.
• Necropsy - tissue identification; dissection according to SOP.
• Conduct organ weights.
• Electronic data entry with gross lesion description.
• Animal euthanasia.
• Trimming - tissue identification; trimming per SOP and NIEHS guidelines.
• Embedding - per SOP; use of tissue processors.
• Data documentation and QC per GLP guidelines.
• Ability to train and work on cross-department tasks relating to in vivo toxicology and histology.
