Precision Castparts Corp. seeks an NDTE Manager to lead the NDT Engineering Department, reporting to the Plant Quality Manager.

The role drives NAS 410 implementation and administers the NDT qualification program for testing personnel, while providing overall technical leadership for NDT planning, execution and progress tracking. The position requires budget oversight, staff supervision, and coordination with customers, sales, planning and manufacturing to support new product introductions and

Qualifications

Must hold a BS in NDT, Engineering, or equivalent, or four years' NDT Level III with two methods.
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred (3–5 years) or 8–10 years in other sectors.
Ability to manage department within budget and supervise multiple engineers/technicians.
Capable of leading projects, directing teams, and interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, coordinate and direct NDT engineering programs inside and outside PCC.
Supervise engineers and technicians; estimate manpower, schedule work, and meet deadlines.
Provide performance appraisals, salary administration, and project budgets.
Ensure NAS 410 compliance and qualification/ccertification program for NDT personnel.
Act as primary liaison with customers on inspection matters and coordinate audits.
