Job summary

NWI Aerostructures in Nashville, TN is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead and execute nondestructive testing (NDT) activities in compliance with NAS 410, NDT 1052, and applicable customer specifications. This role includes Level III oversight, certification program management, and procedure development.

Responsibilities include developing the NDT Certification Program, approving outside NDT agencies, and ensuring audit-ready records while aligning with customer and internal requirements.

Qualifications

• NDT knowledge and field experience preferred.
• NAS 410/NDT 1052 certifications required or equivalent training.
• Experience as a Level II in multiple methods is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s NDT Certification Program.
• Approve and manage outside NDT agencies.
• Ensure compliance with internal and customer NDT requirements, including gap analyses.
• Prepare and maintain NDT training materials; administer examinations.
• Maintain and organize certification records for audit readiness.
• Review NDT process plans for proper inspection sequencing.
• Serve as or support the Responsible Level III per NAS 410.
