Job summary

Watertownchamber is seeking a quality-focused inspector to perform penetrant and magnetic particle inspections on castings in Wisconsin. You will verify conformance to customer and military specifications and document findings.

The role requires Level II certification (SNT-TC-1A) and strong math, measurement, and teamwork skills. You will maintain inspection areas, equipment, and logs, and may assist in other quality functions as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Strong mathematical, measurement and analytical skills.
• Able to work closely with others.
• Certified per SNT-TC-1A Level II by a qualified Level III.
• Up to three months for learning job duties and attaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Penetrant/magnetic particle inspect castings as required by customer or military specifications per the purchase order, shop card, or blueprint.
• Accept/reject castings according to specifications as required.
• Maintain the penetrant/magnetic particle inspection area, inspection booths, and other equipment as necessary.
• Reports to Quality Manager with problems with non-conforming material.
• Assist in other Quality functions as required. Maintain logs of all inspections performed and process logs. Work in other areas as required.
