Job summary

Sulzer Turbo Services Houston Inc. is seeking a Production Worker/Technician focused on assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure quality and safety. The role supports the manufacturing process, identifies defects, and follows production protocols under close supervision.

The position requires NDT Level II certification for MT, PT, UT, VT and involves training Level I and Trainee staff, sign-off on Level I reports, and adherence to safety and ISO procedures. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• SNT-TC-1A Level II certification for MT, PT, UT, VT required.
• Ability to interpret written work instructions and applicable codes.
• Must be able to train Level I and Trainee as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Observe Company Safety Policy and Procedures; follow and support all STS Safety Policies and ISO Procedures.
• Perform calibrations, tests, and evaluations for determining acceptance or rejection of tested items per supervisor instructions.
• Be familiar with the scope and limitations of each certified method.
• Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Organize and report NDT testing results effectively.
• Trains and guides Level I and/or Trainee assigned by immediate Supervisor.
• Sign off on Level I reports for acceptance when competent.
• Report all non-conformities to Production Supervisor or Lead Man.
• Understand all Inspection Procedures and Work Instructions.
