Job summary

Beyond Gravity is seeking an NDT Inspector to interpret standards, develop and qualify NDT processes, and audit colleagues. You will ensure compliance with applicable documentation and participate in corrective actions, while maintaining certifications and capable of heavy inspection workloads.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, experience with composite structures, and proficiency in pulse-echo instruments, with opportunities to lead and train others in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II Ultrasonic Certification per SNT-TC-1A and NAS-410.
• Pass Ultrasonic General and Specific Test by Week 4.
• Experience in government/military/NASA environments preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with composite structures and fabrication processes.
• Proficient with conventional and linear array pulse-echo instruments.
• Ability to demonstrate techniques, analyze reports and report outcomes.
• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing with composite structures.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Knowledge of AS9100D.
• Leadership and training experience favored.
• Associate degree/cert. in materials or technology preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
• Experience operating or learning Automatic NDI equipment.
• Experience in multinational settings.
• Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.
• Ability to work autonomously or in a team toward goals.

Responsibilities

• Interprets applicable standards, specifications, and processes.
• Develops, maintains, qualifies, and recommends changes to NDT processes.
• Audits another NDT inspector’s work.
• Provides guidance to lower-level NDT inspectors.
• Develops reports, non-conformances, techniques, etc.
• Participates in corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensures inspection/test is compliant with docs and standards.
• Capable of managing workload to meet schedule.
• Supports internal and external audits.
• Willing to climb ladders and operate scissor lifts; works in tight spaces.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Maintains required certifications.
