Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Quality Technician/NDT Ultrasonic Inspector to join our aerospace team. You will perform UT inspections using NAS 410 techniques to ensure components meet strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical NDT training preferred.
• NAS 410 Level I or II certification with documented evidence preferred.
• Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards, documentation control, and inspection traceability.
• Excellent written communication to record and interpret inspection data clearly.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communicator capable of cross-team collaboration to resolve issues.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; exposure to quality management/data tracking systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet visual acuity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection in accordance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Accurately record and verify inspection data, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal and customer quality requirements.
• Apply attention to detail and analytical skills to identify trends, deviations, and potential quality issues in inspection results.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to corrective and preventive action processes.
• Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods, providing guidance and on-the-job training to Level I technicians.
• Maintain organized inspection areas, calibration tools and records to ensure audit readiness.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures while handling equipment, tools, and customer components with care.
• Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time or ahead of schedule.
