Job summary

Crafted Staff seeks an experienced NDT Technician III to perform advanced nondestructive inspections on aerospace sheet metal components, focusing on radiographic testing, digital X-ray, and FPI. The role requires inspecting complex parts, interpreting results, developing inspection techniques, and ensuring compliance with customer specs and quality standards.

It also involves mentoring other NDT personnel and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Current NDT certifications in FPI, RT, and digital X-ray.
Documented NDT training and on‑the‑job experience hours.
Hands-on experience performing X-ray and digital radiographic inspections.
Experience inspecting aerospace components or precision metal parts.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced nondestructive testing on complex sheet metal aircraft components using RT, digital X-ray, and FPI.
Inspect and evaluate components to ensure compliance with engineering specs and customer quality requirements.
Create, evaluate, and approve inspection techniques for RT, FPI, and digital X-ray.
Program, configure, and operate digital X-ray inspection systems.
Audit and improve NDT procedures and training with cross-functional teams.
